The Community High School Counseling Department aims to support all students in navigating high school successfully by attending to their personal, social, academic, and career goals. We strive to help students build self-awareness and discover their individualized path following graduation. We offer group and one-on-one counseling to support students in navigating personal challenges; selecting courses that align with their post-secondary goals; searching for and deciding upon best-fit college and/or career opportunities; removing barriers to ensure full access to post-secondary institutions; and locating community resources to succeed in high school and beyond.

The Ann Arbor Fire and Police Departments' Blaze & Blue Career Camp
Blaze & Blue Career Camp is returning for its fourth year this summer for local young women ages 15–18 years old! Participation is FREE, and registration starts Monday, March 17. Led by women in Ann Arbor’s first-responder roles, Blaze & Blue is geared for young women also interested in pursuing first-responder careers. Participants get hands-on experience with the most challenging and exciting tasks in firefighting, first response and law enforcement. The interactive, five-day camp takes place in July.
FREE Tax Preparation for All!
The Housing Bureau for Seniors in partnership with AARP are offering FREE tax return preparation! Appointments are offered Wednesday, February 5th through April 11th. Trained volunteers will provide you with a full federal and state return or complete the Michigan Property Tax credits you qualify for. Volunteers can help you complete returns for past years as well. To schedule your appointment, call 734-998-9341.
Cooking With Plants Culinary Classes
Trinity Health Ann Arbor Lifestyle Medicine is presenting free monthly classes designed to increase your confidence in the kitchen and improve your familiarity with whole, plant-based ingredients. A new program in Ypsilanti Township is offering free mental health services like therapy, community healing spaces, mindfulness practices, and conflict resolution to Black males aged 10-25 and their families. The Ypsi Township-based Community Family Life Center (CFLC), in partnership with the founders of Washtenaw County Community Mental Health’s Black Lives Matter Task Force, launched the program, which is called Interventions for African American Males, or "I-AAM". Local Kiwanis Clubs sponsor high school students who express a sincere desire or interest in some form of a law enforcement career. Students are housed at the Michigan State State Police Training Academy in Lansing with staff instructors from state, county and local police departments.
