Summer & Year-Round Job Opportunities
  • Math Corps at U of M - Work  at a free summer math camp offered by U of M, especially for 6-8th grade students living in the Detroit and Ypsilanti areas. They are looking for 9th - 11th-grade students in the Ypsilanti and Detroit areas to be hired as paid program assistants or teaching assistants. 
  • ​Ferial Rewoldt, Owner of Humus Falafil Mediterranean - The last 7 years, Ferial has had the pleasure of working with students from CHS at the HumusFalafil Mediterranean stall at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market. Ferial enjoys mentoring students to become salespeople interacting with various community customers. Ferial will interview, orient & explain training that focuses on client education & service. Supervision of financial interactions is important during the training period. Ages 14 & up welcome to apply. Will meet parents & explain the style of work. Students interested in working can either stop by the farmers market or send an email message to: [email protected].
  • Independence Lake County Park - Whitmore Lake - Must be 16 years of age or older for lifeguard and general employee positions. Must be 18 years of age or older for seasonal manager, seasonal cashier manager, day camp counselor and park labor aid positions. Job wages for first year employees are as follows: Lifeguard $15/hr; General Employee $11.50/hr; Seasonal Manager $15.50/hr; Seasonal Cashier Manager $14/hr; Day Camp Counselor $15/hr; Park Labor Aid $16/hr.   • Jersey Mike's Subs - Jersey Mike's is hiring! Complete an online application or come stop by the counseling office to get a coupon for a free sub when you ask a manager about a job application in store.
  • Washtenaw County Parks & Recreation - Offers a wide array of jobs for age 15 and over.  Wages range from $11.25 to $17 per hour, with lifeguards starting at $15 per hour. 
  • Ann Arbor Rec & Ed - Has jobs available for age 18 and up as well as roles for high school volunteers looking to gain experience and volunteer hours. 
  • Ann Arbor Public Schools - Childcare positions, must be age 16 and up. Wages start at $14.00 an hour. Must complete child & adult CPR and First Aid certifications within 3 months of hire. Part time 3:15PM to 6PM, 2-5 days a week, depending on student availability.
  • Bambino Babysitters - Teens age 13 and up can create a sitter profile with consent from a guardian and one recommendation from an adult. 
  • Best In Games - To apply, just go to the front counter during normal business hours to fill out an application. If someone is available to interview, you can interview right on the spot!
  • Cinnemark - Cinnemark typically hires ahead of their busy summer moviegoing season. Some perks include free movies and employee discounts!
  • Emagine Theatre (Saline) - Must be 16 years or older to apply. Employees receive discounted food, as many free movies as they want to see (with a guest too), free popcorn/drink during movies, and a chance to see early release films.
  • Thrivery - Work part or full time! Applicants must have reliable transportation and skills in food preparation and customer service. 
  • The Produce Station - Work in the garden outside, or inside the store - must be 18 or older to apply.
  • The Racquet Club - Ages 15 and up can apply for a variety of positions.
  • Ann Arbor Charter Township Fire-Rescue - Two opportunities offered! Ages 18+ can apply for paid on call fire fighters (no experience necessary). Ages 15 - 18 can apply for the Fire Department Explorer Program. This program gives firsthand experience and training to those who may be interested in a career in firefighting or EMS.
