Scholarship for Portuguese Language Study at MSU Fall 2024
MSU's Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies offers a scholarship for taking beginning Portuguese. Students can use the scholarship to take the beginning courses PRT 150 or PRT 250.
https://clacs.isp.msu.edu/funding/student-funding/portuguese/ The deadline for Fall 2024 is August 15, 2024. The scholarship essentially pays for the tuition credits for the Portuguese course.

We are hoping every student who applies to WCC will apply for these High School Honors Scholarships, they are all full ride scholarships and there are so many to give out and it is so easy to apply! Also, the President’s Honor Scholarship is the only one that has a GPA requirement (3.2).
One application puts the students in the running for all 3 scholarships and the application process is easy. The President’s & Procassini Scholarships are both renewable for a second year!
Process to apply:
- Apply to WCC (wccnet.edu)
- Write a statement of about 250 describing why they want to go to WCC, their college goals, activities and honors, both in and out of school
- Fill out the scholarship application (wccnet.edu/HSscholarship)
- Submit letter of recommendation (to financial aid at [email protected])
- Submit high school transcript (to financial aid at [email protected])

David Foster Memorial Scholarship
- Eligibility: Any high school senior intending to pursue continued education who has learned a meaningful life lesson from a high school teacher may apply for this scholarship.
- Amount: $2,500
- Winners: 1
- Application Deadline: May 1, 2024
James T. Godwin Memorial Scholarship
- Eligibility: Any high school senior, trade school student or graduate who is the family member of a veteran or active-duty military member, may apply for this scholarship.
- Amount: $5,000
- Winners: 5 winners, $1,000 each

Ethel Hayes Destigmatization of Mental Health Scholarship
- Eligibility: Students who have had challenges with mental health or who have had loved ones who have struggled with mental health.
- Amount: $4,100
- Winners: 2 winners, $2,050 each

William Griggs Memorial Scholarship for Science and Math
- Eligibility: Any female high school senior or undergraduate student pursuing a two or four-year degree program in science or mathematics may apply for this scholarship.
